SUNSET Sundays at Wilmington Riverwalk

October 9, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - October 16, 2022 @ 7:30 pm EDT

| Free

Every Sunday, one hour before sunset, we gather “down by the river” at the end of Orange Street in Historic Downtown Wilmington NC.

Most of the time, we just stand around enjoying the beauty of the evening in our Outside Church T-Shirts making people who walk by, think about the deeper issues of life.

Without any agenda, we “hang out” and interact with the public as the Lord leads.  Sometimes we just talk about dogs.  Other times we pray for healing or give a word of hope.

We pray ahead of time for divine appointments and often have the chance to pray with people, bless marriages, unborn children, pray for healing, or simply offer a smile, a hug, or an encouraging word.

Our aim is to be the Church outside, to show the secular public that Christians can be friendly, non-judgmental, and while you might not call us “normal” we aim to have every person who has an encounter with us to leave knowing that they are loved.

We invite all Christians who want to reach others with the Love of Christ to join us. We ask only that you put aside all agendas, that you let the Holy Spirit lead you with the way you engage with people, and that you enjoy the fellowship of like-minded believers who carry a refreshing message of love, healing, encouragement to people who just may experience a life-changing encounter with the Christ in you.

Dogs are welcome, but not encouraged, there will never be amplified microphones or instruments, and we need to be respectful and not impede the flow of traffic on the boardwalk.

Bring kids, your guitar, and the expectation of a beautiful water-front sunset with people whose aim is to enjoy fellowship with other believers and to increase the family of God.
